Today the RoboSoft finished submitting my software to all the directories.

As I said earlier, when converting your site with an html to exe converter, make sure it holds the css properties. Just run the exe and click around to check that everything is fine.

The tool I used was Robosoft

• This tool is very powerful. It takes about 30 minutes to set up. Make sure you fill all the required fields for the PAD file. Also set your program as “freeware”, since many directories accept only free software.
• Then, it takes about 1 hour to download the directories templates.
• Then, about 4 hours of submission.
• Note that, at some point, it will ask you whether you want to process captchas. If you select no, you will lose close to 50 submissions. The captcha recognition at first chewed through them like they were crackers, but close to the end it failed to recognize most of them. (It came to no surprise that Robosoft was unable to break Google’s Captcha)
• I suggest you check captchas, though you will need to attend the program if you do so.
• After the tedious work is done, you need to open your mailbox, and approve about 150 registrations at the various directories.
• Then you need to run robosoft again… Dont worry, it takes much less than 4 hours, it only retries the failed or skipped sites.

My results, were 450 successful submissions out of 800. About 100 of them where instantly accepted, and I expect others to show up in at least a month.

I predict that this will give me about 130 backlinks. All the sites are PR1, contrary to what eli claims at his post (he says many are PR3, but the article is old, so Google may have slapped those sites), so the link juice is not that much. It is good to have though. I guess if you keep this pro, and not spam, you can get backlinks. The process is tedious at first, but the second time it will be faster and smoother.

I do not believe that this method gives you 1200 backlinks. It will give you a lot though, if you count mirror sites as well. If you can do it, you should definitely try it.

UPDATE: Its been 2 days, and I am already seeing 3 backlinks. I expect the majority will pop out in a month.

UPDATE #2: After a week, I am seeing a constant increase in backlinks and traffic. I can say that this technique definately works.

It is a good way to get automated links en masse without making them spammy
