A simple yet effective way of optimizing your wordpress blog, is to expand your pinglist.
Google is so good at finding sites, that it will surely find your blog with the default settings on. But, you can make it easier for the other engines to find your blog. Simply download the pinglist file, go to your wordpress admin area, Options, writing, paste the pinglist under “Update services” and apply.
Now, everytime you post something new, the whole list will get pinged, notifying every site that your blog is updated.
Adding your feed to feedburner, not only speeds up the crawling of your site, but it also shows you feed stats, which is quite useful.
Also, if you haven’t already, submit your blog to Google.
