Glowleaf

For my forum, I chose smf. Most people prefer Vbulletin, and I like it as well.

But I did not need the special features Vbulletin has, like paypal integration and other hacks.

Smf does the job, and it looks sleek, very professional. It still has a load of options, as it is one of the finest forum engines.

Easy to install, easy to setup and configure. Neat stats, and relatively light on the server load.

I have no idea how it will perform when 3000 visitors post at the same time though…
