However, I personally do not use a piece of paper, but rather the free To-DO list from Abstractspoon (abstractspoon(dot)com). 

This marvelous little utility does not require installation (I carry it around on a USB stick), allows creating hierarchical tasks and subtasks, manage multiple lists, create categories and set importance, manage dates and even allocate tasks to others. And best of all: Apart from being free, it&#039;s very simple to use.

I also used paper in the past (and kept losing the different lists), until I discovered this. One drawback: If you have several lists of things to do, you&#039;ll also have to decide what to do first... ;)</description>
