Here is a way to create backlinks:
Browse Youtube and find high PR videos relevant to your site. Copy the embed code, and embed it!
Like this:
This will create a backlink on youtube, at the statistics & data tab beneath each video. Like this one
This is an easy way to get indexed fast, and give some linkjuice, as the link is no follow. I believe that no follow simply reduces the linkjuice significantly, but does not nullify it.

Great, but nofollow is given absolutely no credit by google, the only search engine which gives credit to nofollow links is Yahoo

Youtube doesn’t make this as user friendly to do as it seems. Creating backlinks should be pretty straight forward. Is there a “Youtube Video” that shows how to so this?

Hello,
I got a youtube video on my squidoo lens, to promote my t-shirts, and have clicked on it several times, but my lens is still not showing up in the stats on youtube. I should be in the top five by now. Have you tube disables this, or how does it work?
Any thoughts.
Anthony.

I’ve been trying to find out how to build backlinks to my videos on youtube. Hopefully this will help. I’m in an untapped market and still get ranked very high. Thanks!

I think some of those commenting are confused, or maybe I am? Embeddind video doesn’t create a backlink tithe video, it creates a backlink to the site it’s on, correct. One thing I am confused about is these should be nofollow, and they are on my blog, but I have a site that I track the backlinks on the embedded videos are showing up as a backlink. I guess that is because yahoo generates the page of backlinks for the software I use to track them which would coincide with what scene releases said. But even if google doesn’t credit you for the backlink, it will still see embed code and credit you for content, so I think you’re correct that there is some value to a nofollow link. And yahoo has a ton of traffic too.

You can use videomated.com to create cool videos and receive lifetime traffic from links in your videos description’s, that’s not all, you will probably get FIRST google position with your videos and some cool keywords like I do. This is not cool to build seo, this will directly send interested viewers to your website, so if you are looking for some immediate sales, then this is cool for you

I have just about the same question as everyone else:
I understand that if I embed the you tube video onto my site it won’t create a backlink, but if I have the video up and underneath make a link that says “you could also watch this video here” and have that a link to the you tube video would that give me a good backlink?
Say the video has like 25,000+ views, would this help me at all?
I am a little new to this whole “Backlink” world, so I am looking for as much help as possible.
Also, i read a lot about “no follow” or whatever, what does that mean?
Does google not recognize the “no follow” ?
Please respond
Thanks,
Andrew Johnson

To enter your URL (backlink) on YouTube, simply type your URL initially into the ‘description’ box area. Then type the actually description of your video. You’ll notice on savvy marketeers, the URL’s are always in the first part of the video description. Hope this helps.
