A good idea is to use a domain name as your affiliate link
For example, getting a domain like greatdealsonline.info and pointing it to ebay, allows you to insert the link to the domain everywhere, and not make it seem like an affiliate link.
This serves a double purpose:
- It is good to hide your affiliate link
- It gives you backlinks to a domain you own.
The first has been discussed in many other blogs, so we will leave it as is.
The second point, works like this:
Say for example, you have a forum. It has thousands of pages, so you put a link at the bottom, saying something like “Hosted by Hostmonster”
You point that link, to a domain you own called greathosting.info
And redirect that domain, to your affiliate keyword link.
That way, you get the added benefit of getting links to a domain you own. If at some point, you want to change programs, or you simply want to develop the domain, it will already have link juice and rank. It also allows you to quickly switch programs, to see which one performs best.
